Los Angeles - Wood Entry Gates

The gates on display here are built with a basic design, however each gate is still very nicely finished and very well built. The most important part about installing any type of door is doing a quality job on the installation. We use quality hardware, for example, solid hinges. This is the most important element for any install and in my opinion the strap hinges are the least effective when it comes to sagging. We use the more solid type that the non-removeable pin.
When the proper gate hinges are not used in the installation there will most like be sagging of the unit. The latches do not line up properly and sometimes the side of the door will have to be sanded in order to work again. In the worst case scenarios, we may even have to remove the entire door and slice off a bit of the wood using a table saw or another power saw.
We build all of our projects to have minimal maintenance but over time with the moisture and sun exposure the wood expands and contracts. This may cause the door to stick and be hard to open or close. If these problems come up, which will not be often, we will always come back to repair the problem.
